Heloise Holtzhausen ("The African Queen") - Bass

Heloise, a working mom with two almost-grown sons, hails from South Africa (ask her to say the word “chord”). She is a trained classical pianist and makes her living teaching piano. So why is she playing bass? Our Queen always loved rock ‘n roll (she dresses the part) and has wanted to play bass in a band since her kids were born. She played keyboards with Tom Matzell in a church rock band and when Tom told her about his band plans, she went right out to buy a bass and start practicing. Her Po9 bandmates auditioned her and that was that. Now her kids stay up late to make sure their rock ‘n roll mom gets home safely.
