Mike Kokoszka – Trumpet, Fluglehorn

Making horns talk has been Koko’s passion since 1977. In high school, he played in every group that needed his chops. As a long-time (and still active) member of the 215th Army National Guard Band, he’s played his horns all over the globe (Greece, Germany, Netherlands, Jamaica, and Iceland, to name a few). Locally, he blew swing and pop with The Fantasy Big Band, and most recently soul, funk, and R&B with Soul Ambition, another strong horn band. We love Koko because of his extraordinary chops, and the fact that he comes complete with horn charts doesn’t hurt either. And he plays a mean cowbell (we always need more cowbell).
