Steve Lydon - Saxophone

Party of 9's resident firefighter, Steve has been playing the saxophone since age 10 and has loved every minute of it. A big band veteran, his sax-playing has taken him around the country to such places as San Antonio, Seattle, Louisville, Honolulu, and Washington DC. Steve's most memorable music moments were playing at the dedication of the Vietnam Memorial in DC, and with the great Woody Herman. He found Po9 after hitting Blues Jams in and around Boston. "I love the atmosphere generated by this band." Other projects he is involved with include recording and playing with the McMurphys, the Misadventure Blues Band and the Soft Touch Dance Band. When the alarm rings, count on Steve to fire off some hot solos.
